Roof gardens

The roof garden, the green roof, is in. A glance at a big city on Google Earth reveals this. What a lovely development! Roof gardens are similar to ordinary gardens, as regards appearance, use and also maintenance. The greenery in a roof garden consists of grasses, herbaceous plants, bushes, hedges and sometimes even – not too large – trees. Such a green roof indeed imposes a substantial load on the underlying building and demands a reinforced roof structure. However, the possible uses are unprecedented. And it helps the environment!
